The American University in Cairo will get another extended break because of swine flu fears.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health has ordered classes at AUC suspended until Dec. 6, the university announced in an email to students, staff and faculty this evening. Classes were originally supposed to resume on Dec. 1.
This is the third closure of AUC due to concerns over swine flu. Classes were cancelled at the beginning of the semester, and also during the summer.
Staff and administration of AUC will resume on Dec. 1, though, according to Ashraf El-Fiqi, vice president for student affairs.
